We came on Valentines Day, we were a party of seven. Making reservations ahead of time was such a time saver. If your going to be a party of six or more, please call ahead and make reservations. Seating is limited! Three cars coming from different directions, the only issues we may have had in getting here, would have been parking related. As this street is very very busy. With many different establishments crammed into one square block. After we arrived we were promptly seated. I had Loma Saltado which was very tasty. My wife had Seco de Cordero, which she said was so, so. The lamb shank had a small amount of meat and connected fat to a rather large bone. The sauce makes it appear to be much more meatier than it is. One Person in our party had the Pescado A Lo Macho of which he said was just fair. Lastly the others had the 1/2 roasted chicken which was also fair. They gave us some chips with some sort of mayo based sauce, we asked for some different sauces but they came out with more of the same blah sauce. Over all the Lomo Saltado that I had was the best that I have tasted in years. But the un-answered question is, do I really want to be eating here alone, because my friends didn't love their dish as much as I did mine? Get the Lomo Saltado..
Most restaurants were closed on New Years Day- we initially wanted vietnamese food but the only vietnamese restaurant that was open in dtsm on NY was Chicken Pho You with a long wait. My boyfriend and I walked around the area and was drawn by the sign outside Fusion: "M-F Lunch Special: Appetizer + Entree + Drink = $13". This was on NY on a Wednesday, but unfortunately we didn't realize this deal didn't apply to holidays until we sat down. We ordered the Yuca Balls (appetizer, 5 pieces, $9) + Chicken Saltado (entree, $17), which was definitely enough to feed 2! Their current Yelp check in deal (as of 1.1.2019) is free plantains so we ordered that as well. We even had leftovers to take home because everything was generously plated and filling. Service was alright, but I'll definitely be back- especially for the great lunch special deal! There's also a 7-9pm Happy Hour deal on Fridays and Saturdays- discounted Pisco Sours, I forget how much but I'll definitely update this review with the price once I'm back!
One of the better tasty plates. The food is excellent, the drinks are strong and refreshing. We where seated in the back two rooms because it was Wednesday paint night. Which was nice because we have never been in this room, I guess they use this room for over flow and dancing. They had the lights for dance and speakers. We did the yelp check in for the free yuca balls. Tasted like crispy dough. The reason for for star , the service. Had to get up several times to have water glasses filled. Also watch your bill because I used the yelp check in for free yuca balls. And final bill includes the " balls ". Once brought to he attention of the waitress it was taken from the bill. For the most part a good time great food.
I love the food in the afternoon Great Lomo Saltado, the service is really attentive plus there is a lot of space :) I recommend this place
